My healthy 7yr old son out of blue started having debilitating migraines about a year ago. Being a nurse I ensured we... ruled out anything nasty by doing MRI and seeing specialist. But we kept getting no definitive answer as to why they were reoccuring. Being so young treatment options are limited until 12yrs of age and every episode we would end up at the emergency department with then specialist follow up appointments.Something had to change. I then came across a fellow work colleague (GP) whom referred me to Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic. My son has been seeing David now at the spring hill clinic for over 2mnths, where he has worked absolute wonders. My son has had no episodes of a migraine to date yet.David also ensure he educates his clients during the appointment, follows up with exercises and resources for you to use at home as well, easy management plans and a diary to track and see patterns as to why a migraine maybe triggered.I would highly recommend these clinics to anyone suffering. The amount of knowledge and expertise by the staff is amazing.I will always be praising them for the help with my son. read more

I have suffered from chronic neck pain for over 10 years and I had come to the conclusion that I would have to suffer... with it for the rest of my life. I had tried massage, chiropractors and other physiotherapists and though they worked in the short term the pain would come back just as bad. It only took a couple of sessions with David before that chronic pain seemed to lessen markedly. After several weeks of sessions the pain was only returning occasionally and no where near the level that I had previously experienced. He had been recommended to me by the friend of my daughter who had suffered from long term sports injuries and he could not praise him highly enough. read more

I had been experiencing constant dizziness, and other visual issues as well as headaches and neck pain for months... before I found this clinic. It had become problematic at work and disrupted my social life. I was very depressed and didn't know what to do. I just wanted to sleep all the time. I had tried other physiotherapy with no relief. I started my treatment at Brisbane headache and migraine clinic in September and have been seeing Mattias the entire time. I felt heard, understood and hopeful since my first consultation with Mattias and have seen huge improvement since then. Recovery takes time but now I am at a point where I rarely get dizzy, headaches are less common and manageable and the other visual issues have decreased from constantly and daily to a few times biweekly. I am working lots of hours and starting to feel like myself again. I strongly urge anyone struggling with similar issues to give it a try. When I first saw Ariel I couldn't drive or walk long distances on my own, my quality of life had deteriorated due to my... vestibular migraines. Brilliant service and totally totally helpful. I first visited Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic in 2016 when I... was having a regular bout of intense migraines that would leave me bedridden. I had also become very afraid of both daylight and screens. Very anxious. I was kind of like a vampire before going here. Since treatment my migraines have pretty much vanished. Thanks to the neck exercise techniques Bertrand showed me I have so much more confidence in terms of not getting another migraine. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Amazing results! After experiencing terrible headaches for 3-4 weeks, i booked in with Ariel for a consultation. From... there i saw her 3 times per week and after i short period of time i noticed an incredible reduction in pain levels from my headaches and also a reduction in frequency. Now i feel headache free and only see Ariel once per fortnight just as a preventative measure to stop the headaches from coming back. My daughter Abbey experiences chronic migraines, typically more than 15 per month. We travel from Tasmania for... treatment with Ariel in 2-3 week blocks for 8 sessions, then try and control the tension and tightness in Abbey's neck through physiotherapy here, before returning to Ariel 3-4 months later. The treatment by Ariel decreases the frequency and severity of the migraines. Abbey has tried several other methods but in her words, 'this is the only thing that works'.
